India, April 25 -- Patel Engineering Limited (PEL), a Mumbai-based infrastructure firm, has been declared the lowest bidder (L1) by North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) for a ?718 crore (inclusive of taxes) contract for the 240 MW HEO Hydro Electric Project in Arunachal Pradesh.

Located in the Shi Yomi district, the project is expected to generate approximately 1,000 million units (MU) of electricity annually, significantly boosting power availability in the region and supporting the stability of the national power grid. The completion timeline for the project is set at 44 months.
