India, Nov. 19 -- State-run NTPC on Wednesday announced that its step-down subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy, has started commercial generation from 75.50 MW of its 1,255 MW Khavda-I solar PV project in Gujarat.

With this addition, the NTPC Group's total installed and commercial generation capacity has risen to 84,924 MW, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The commercial operation date for the 75.50 MW tranche under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II, Tranche-III, was declared effective November 19, 2025. The project is being developed by NTPC Renewable Energy through NTPC Green Energy Ltd.
