India, July 1 -- NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has commenced commercial operations of a 64.7 MW capacity, part of its 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat.

According to a regulatory filing on Monday, NGEL stated that the third phase of the project — a 64.7 MW capacity under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II Tranche-III — became operational on June 30.

Earlier, the first phase of 110.25 MW was commissioned on June 6, followed by the second phase of 146.7 MW on June 28. The project is being developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NGEL.
