India, Aug. 4 -- NIBE Limited, a leading Indian defense manufacturer, has announced a major milestone with the receipt of a significant order from Israel-based Elbit Systems, a global leader in defense technology. Under this agreement, NIBE will manufacture and supply key components for the 70mm class Guided Advanced Tactical Rocket (GATR)—a high-precision, air-to-surface weapon system.
The GATR combines advanced semi-active laser guidance with a strike range of up to 10 km and the ability to target moving objects at speeds of up to 100 kmph.
