India, June 18 -- The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has debarred the concessionaire, M/s Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd., from participating in future bids following the collapse of slope protection works on the Chengala–Neeleshwaram section of NH-66 in Cherkkala, Kasaragod district, Kerala. The incident, which occurred on 16 June 2025, was attributed to design flaws, insufficient slope protection, and poor drainage infrastructure.
