India, Nov. 18 -- Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), India's newest greenfield airport, will commence commercial operations on 25 December 2025, following its inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 8 October. The launch marks a significant addition to the aviation capacity of the rapidly expanding Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).

In its first month of operations, NMIA will function between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., handling 23 scheduled daily departures and managing up to 10 flight movements per hour.
