India, Aug. 7 -- In a move to enhance road infrastructure in the Northeast, the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) has approved the construction of the Mangoldoi-Mazikuchi road in Assam. The 15-kilometre stretch, from KM 11+000 to KM 26+200, will be developed at a cost of Rs 45.31 crore under the North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme (NESIDS) – Roads.
This newly sanctioned project is expected to serve as a vital link between the Darrang district headquarters at Mangaldoi and the Udalguri district subdivision headquarters at Bhergaon, effectively reducing the travel distance by 7.2 kilometres.
