India, July 16 -- Pharma major Lupin on Wednesday announced the launch of a generic version of Loteprednol Etabonate Ophthalmic Suspension in the United States, used for treating eye inflammation and pain.
The product is a bioequivalent to Bausch & Lomb's Lotemax Ophthalmic Suspension (0.5%), the company said in a statement.
Loteprednol Etabonate is a steroid-based eye drop commonly prescribed to manage inflammation and discomfort post-surgery or for conditions such as allergic conjunctivitis, the Mumbai-based drugmaker added.
