India, Dec. 24 -- Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a significant order for its Transportation Infrastructure business from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for the Mumbai Metro railway project.
The order pertains to Package CA-298, which involves the electrification of the 24.72-km-long Metro Line 4, running from Bhakti Park (Wadala) to Cadbury Junction, comprising 22 elevated stations.
The scope of work includes the design, manufacture, supply, installation, integration, testing and commissioning of power supply and traction systems for the entire 24.72 route km. It also covers the SCADA system for Metro Lines 4 and 4A, catering to 32 stations, depots and receiving substations.
