India, March 11 -- Jindal Stainless Ltd (JSL) announced on Tuesday that it is investing Rs 700 crore in decarbonization initiatives to achieve its net-zero targets by 2050.
The company plans to allocate these funds over the next five years to implement various eco-friendly projects, including renewable energy, green hydrogen, biodiversity conservation, waste management, and carbon capture technologies.
"With an investment of ?700 crore in decarbonization projects over the next five years, our goal is to balance financial and environmental priorities, cutting greenhouse gas emissions and carbon intensity by 50% by FY35 and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050," JSL stated.
