India, Sept. 10 -- Jindal Stainless, India's largest stainless steel manufacturer, has supplied premium 301N austenitic stainless steel for the Bengaluru Metro Phase 2 project, reinforcing its role in the country's urban transport infrastructure. The Yellow Line under this phase was recently inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
So far, the company has delivered 1,031 metric tonnes of stainless steel for the project, with further supplies planned. The high-performance 301N grade is being used across metro coach structures, including roofs, due to its superior strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, fire and crash safety, and low carbon footprint.
