India, Oct. 15 -- Jindal Stainless, India's largest stainless steel producer, is doubling its slag processing capacity at its Jajpur, Odisha unit with a new wet milling plant, marking a significant step toward circular production and resource conservation. The initiative is expected to recover valuable metals from industrial waste, support the company's expanded operations, and create around 140 new jobs in the region.
The project is being implemented in partnership with Harsco Environmental, a global leader in environmental solutions for the metals industry. Jindal Stainless is investing USD 150 million in the plant under a 15-year partnership, which will recoup its value through metal recovery from slag.
