India, March 20 -- The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) has successfully launched its first-ever issuance of Perpetual Bonds, raising Rs 1,247 crore at an annual coupon rate of 8.40%. This strategic move marks a significant milestone in optimizing IREDA's capital structure and leveraging favorable market conditions.

The funds raised through the Perpetual Bonds will bolster IREDA's Tier-I capital, strengthening its financial position to support the rapid growth of India's green energy infrastructure.
