India, Sept. 22 -- The Indian Navy's First Training Squadron (INS Tir, INS Shardul, INS Sujata, and ICGS Sarathi) concluded a four-day port call in Maputo, Mozambique, from September 16–19, 2025, reinforcing maritime cooperation.
During the visit, the squadron conducted joint training exercises with the Mozambique Navy, including diving operations, firefighting, VBSS operations, and bridge machinery integration drills. Indian trainees also visited Mozambique's Marine Commando School, Sargent School, and Army Practising School, while Mozambican personnel embarked on Indian Navy ships for joint EEZ surveillance.
