India, Dec. 19 -- The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) on December 19, 2025 commissioned ICG Ship Amulya, the third of eight new-generation Adamya-class Fast Patrol Vessels, at Goa. Designed and built by Goa Shipyard Limited, the 51-metre vessel features over 60 per cent indigenous components, underscoring India's push towards defence self-reliance under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make-in-India initiatives.
Powered by two 3,000 KW diesel engines, Amulya has a top speed of 27 knots and an operational endurance of 1,500 nautical miles. The vessel is equipped with indigenous, state-of-the-art weapons and systems, offering high manoeuvrability, operational flexibility and enhanced performance at sea.
