India, Oct. 15 -- Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has announced the elevation of its Chief Operating Officer Tarun Garg as Managing Director and CEO, effective January 1, 2026, as part of its succession plan.
According to a late-night regulatory filing on the BSE, the company's Board of Directors, in its meeting held on Tuesday, approved the succession plan for the top leadership role.
With this appointment, Garg becomes the first Indian to hold the position of MD and CEO at the Indian arm of the South Korean automobile major.
