India, May 2 -- Honda Cars India reported a 23% year-on-year decline in domestic sales for April, with only 3,360 units sold compared to the same month last year. Exports also fell significantly, dropping from 6,516 units to 1,511.
Kunal Behl, Vice President of Marketing & Sales, attributed the lower dispatch numbers to the company's strategy of maintaining optimal inventory levels and easing dealer pressure amid market volatility. To boost demand, Honda plans to introduce new pricing and benefits for its Elevate SUV starting May, aiming to deliver greater value to buyers.
