India, March 11 -- Hindustan Zinc Ltd, a Vedanta group company, announced on Tuesday that it has signed an agreement with Serentica Renewables to procure up to 530 MW of green electricity.
This power delivery agreement (PDA) expands Hindustan Zinc's renewable energy commitment from the previously agreed 450 MW to 530 MW, boosting its green energy contribution to over 70% of its total power consumption.
In a filing to the BSE, Hindustan Zinc stated, "This is a first-of-its-kind round-the-clock renewables PDA, ensuring a minimum of 315 MW of uninterrupted power supply in every 15-minute time block."
