India, April 21 -- HDFC Bank shares surged over 2% on Monday, reaching their highest level in a year after the bank reported a 7% increase in consolidated net profit for the March quarter.

On the BSE, the stock jumped 2.27% to hit a 52-week high of Rs 1,950. Similarly, on the NSE, it climbed 2.30%, touching a one-year peak of Rs 1,950.70.
