India, Dec. 10 -- Guar seed futures moved higher on Wednesday, rising Rs 7 to Rs 4,992 per quintal, as speculators widened their positions amid a strong trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar seed for January delivery gained Rs 7, or 0.14%, to Rs 4,992 per quintal, with an open interest of 4,992 lots.
Market participants said the uptick in prices was driven by increased speculative buying, a firm spot demand trend, and relatively thin supplies from producing regions.
