India, April 20 -- Guar seed futures edged lower on Monday, declining by Rs 34 to Rs 5,838 per quintal amid ample availability in the market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, April delivery contracts fell 0.58% to Rs 5,838 per quintal, with an open interest of 61,480 lots.

Traders attributed the weakness to increased arrivals from key producing regions, which put pressure on prices.
