India, Nov. 27 -- Guar seed futures climbed Rs 15 to Rs 4,629 per quintal on Thursday as speculators expanded their positions amid firm demand in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), the December guar seed contract moved up by 0.32% to Rs 4,629 per quintal, with an open interest of 47,470 lots.
Market participants said the price rise was driven by increased speculative buying, strong spot market demand, and limited supplies from key producing regions.
