India, Jan. 16 -- Guar seed prices moved higher in futures trade on Friday, rising Rs 76 to Rs 5,574 per quintal, driven by increased participation from investors.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for February delivery advanced by Rs 76, or 1.36 per cent, to Rs 5,574 per quintal, with an open interest of 61,665 lots.
Market participants said the uptick in futures prices was supported by higher investor bets, even as spot market prices showed some weakness.
