India, March 20 -- Guar seed prices rose marginally in futures trade on Friday, supported by increased investor participation.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar seed for April delivery gained Rs 27, or 0.50%, to Rs 5,446 per quintal, with an open interest of 47,965 lots.

Market participants said that higher investor bets lifted prices, even as spot market trends remained weak.
