India, April 16 -- Guar seed futures edged lower on Thursday due to ample supplies in the market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for May delivery slipped by Rs 22, or 0.39%, to Rs 5,672 per quintal, with an open interest of 65,090 lots.

Market participants attributed the decline to higher arrivals and increased supply from key producing regions.
