India, Aug. 8 -- Guar seed prices rose by Rs 21 to Rs 5,306 per quintal in Friday's futures trade as speculators increased their positions, tracking a firm trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, September delivery contracts gained Rs 21, or 0.40%, to Rs 5,306 per quintal, with an open interest of 45,510 lots.
Market participants attributed the price rise to higher speculative buying, steady demand in the spot market, and limited supplies from key growing regions.
