India, May 8 -- Guar gum futures traded lower on Friday as traders reduced their positions amid subdued demand in the physical market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for June delivery declined by Rs 11, or 0.10%, to Rs 11,326 per quintal, with a business turnover of 49,630 lots.

Market analysts said weak spot demand and adequate supplies from producing regions weighed on guar gum prices in futures trade.
