India, May 4 -- Guar gum prices declined on Monday, with futures dropping by Rs 69 to Rs 11,371 per quintal as traders pared positions amid weak spot demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for June delivery fell Rs 69, or 0.61 per cent, to Rs 11,371 per quintal, with an open interest of 38,920 lots.

Market participants said subdued demand in the spot market, along with ample supplies from producing regions, continued to exert pressure on prices.
