India, Jan. 8 -- Guar gum prices declined in futures trade on Thursday, pressured by weak demand in the spot market and ample supplies. On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for February delivery fell by Rs 217, or 1.99%, to Rs 10,570 per quintal, with a trading volume of 52,095 lots.

Market participants said sluggish buying interest coupled with higher arrivals from producing regions led traders to offload positions, weighing on guar gum prices.
