India, Dec. 23 -- Guar gum prices advanced in futures trade on Tuesday, rising Rs 51 to Rs 10,429 per quintal, as speculators increased their positions amid firm demand in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for January delivery gained Rs 51, or 0.49 per cent, to trade at Rs 10,429 per quintal, with open interest at 46,875 lots.
Market analysts said traders raised their bets after tracking strength in the physical market, which supported the rise in guar gum futures prices.
