India, Dec. 30 -- Guar gum prices rose on Tuesday, gaining Rs 64 to Rs 11,123 per quintal in futures trade, as speculators increased their positions amid firm demand in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for January delivery advanced by Rs 64, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 11,123 per quintal, with an open interest of 32,095 lots.
Analysts said the rise in guar gum futures was driven by increased buying by traders after tracking a firm trend in the physical market.
