India, Dec. 5 -- Guar gum futures climbed Rs 67 to Rs 8,898 per quintal on Friday, supported by improved demand in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), January delivery contracts rose 0.75 per cent to Rs 8,898 per quintal, with an open interest of 38,625 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise to a firm trend in the physical market, prompting traders to increase their positions.
