India, Dec. 16 -- Guar gum prices on Tuesday inched up by Rs 9 to Rs 9,731 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their positions amid firm demand in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for January delivery rose Rs 9, or 0.09%, to trade at Rs 9,731 per quintal, with open interest standing at 53,485 lots.
Market analysts said the uptick in prices was driven by a firm trend in the physical market, which encouraged traders to raise their bets, supporting gains in guar gum futures.
