India, Aug. 13 -- Guar gum prices declined by Rs 66 to Rs 9,852 per quintal in futures trade on Wednesday, as traders reduced holdings amid a sluggish trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, September delivery contracts fell Rs 66, or 0.67%, to Rs 9,852 per quintal, with a turnover of 51,765 lots.
Analysts said tepid demand coupled with sufficient supplies from producing regions weighed on prices.
