India, Sept. 12 -- Guar gum futures slipped on Friday as traders trimmed positions amid sluggish demand and adequate supplies in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum for October delivery dropped Rs 23 or 0.25 per cent to Rs 9,330 per quintal in 46,815 lots.

Analysts said weak demand from consuming industries and abundant arrivals from key producing regions exerted downward pressure on prices.
