India, Feb. 4 -- Guar gum prices slipped in futures trade on Wednesday as traders reduced their positions amid subdued demand and a weak trend in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange Ltd, guar gum contracts for March delivery fell Rs 18, or 0.17 percent, to Rs 10,485 per quintal, with trading activity seen in 40,035 lots.

Market participants attributed the decline to slack demand in the physical market and ample supplies from key producing regions, which continued to weigh on prices.
