India, Dec. 11 -- Guar gum prices increased by Rs 136 to Rs 9,053 per quintal in futures trade on Thursday, as speculators expanded their positions amid robust demand in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum for January delivery rose 1.50% to Rs 9,053 per quintal, with an open interest of 47,915 lots.

Analysts said the uptrend in the physical market prompted traders to raise their bets, supporting the rise in futures prices.
