India, Dec. 10 -- The government has issued a revised draft amendment to the 2014 TV rating guidelines to ensure fair competition and more accurate, representative viewership data. The revision, published on November 6, 2025, follows stakeholder feedback on an earlier draft released on July 2, 2025.
The updated guidelines aim to better reflect evolving media consumption patterns across the country. The information was shared in the Lok Sabha by Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Dr. L. Murugan, in response to questions from Dr. Kirsan Namdeo and Shri Charanjit Singh Channi.
