India, July 21 -- The government has approved the restructuring of the boards of THDC India Ltd (THDCIL) and North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO), both subsidiaries of state-run energy major NTPC.

According to an official document, the Ministry of Power (MoP) proposed key changes, including the appointment of a non-executive Chairperson and the re-designation of the CMD post to Managing Director (MD) for both entities.

Following the approved restructuring, the CMD of NTPC will serve as the non-executive Chairperson of both THDCIL and NEEPCO.
