India, Nov. 25 -- Gold prices surged by Rs 3,500, reaching Rs 1,28,900 per 10 grams in Delhi on Tuesday, driven by fresh buying from local jewellers and retailers ahead of the wedding season, according to the All India Sarafa Association.

Snapping a three-day losing streak, gold of 99.5% purity rose to Rs 1,28,300 per 10 grams (inclusive of all taxes).

Silver also saw renewed demand, rallying Rs 5,800 to Rs 1,60,800 per kg (inclusive of all taxes), in line with the gains in gold.
