India, Sept. 12 -- Gold prices rose by Rs 572 on Friday to trade close to record levels at Rs 1,09,553 per 10 grams in the domestic futures market, supported by a firm global trend and strong investor demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the most active October contract gained Rs 572, or 0.52%, to Rs 1,09,553 per 10 grams, with a business turnover of 16,533 lots. The precious metal had hit an all-time high of Rs 1,09,840 per 10 grams earlier this week on Tuesday.
