India, July 31 -- Gold prices fell by Rs 123 to Rs 98,860 per 10 grams in futures trade on Thursday, weighed down by subdued spot demand and weak global signals.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for October delivery declined Rs 123, or 0.12%, to Rs 98,860 per 10 grams, with a trading volume of 12,207 lots.
Analysts said the drop in gold prices was primarily driven by lackluster global cues and limited domestic demand.
