India, March 24 -- Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) successfully launched 'Tavasya', the second frigate of Project 1135.6 Additional Follow-on Ships, on March 22, 2025. The launch ceremony was officiated by Mrs. Neeta Seth in the presence of Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Sanjay Seth and Vice Admiral Sanjay J Singh, FOC-in-C West, at GSL, Goa.
The frigates under Project 1135.6 are indigenously constructed, reflecting India's growing self-reliance in defense manufacturing.
