India, April 3 -- Fortis Healthcare announced on Wednesday that it has successfully acquired the 'Fortis' trademark through a public auction, securing the rights with a winning bid of Rs 200 crore.
As previously communicated on October 30, 2024, the Hon'ble Delhi High Court, through an order dated October 29, 2024, had directed the sale of the 'Fortis' trademarks and associated marks via public auction. This decision followed a ruling by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India on September 22, 2022, the company stated in a regulatory filing.
