India, Aug. 29 -- India's fiscal deficit rose to 29.9% of the full-year target by the end of July, data from the Controller General of Accounts (CGA) showed on Friday.
In comparison, the fiscal deficit had touched 17.2% of the Budget Estimates (BE) for 2024-25 during the same period last year.
At the end of the first quarter (April–June), the deficit stood at 17.9% of the annual target.
