India, Oct. 20 -- Eternal, the parent company of Zomato and Blinkit, announced on Sunday that it has received a goods and services tax (GST) demand order from the Uttar Pradesh tax authorities, totaling over Rs 128 crore, including interest and penalties.
The order, issued by the Deputy Commissioner of State Tax, Lucknow, pertains to the alleged short payment of output tax and excess availment of input tax credit for the period from April 2023 to March 2024.
Eternal stated that it has a strong case on merits and intends to appeal the order before the appropriate authority.
