India, Sept. 4 -- The Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL) of DRDO, Hyderabad, has transferred three advanced materials technologies to industry partners, marking a significant step in strengthening self-reliance in defence and strategic applications. At an event held on August 30, 2025, DRDO Chairman and Secretary, Department of Defence R&D, Dr. Samir V Kamat, handed over the Licensing Agreements for Transfer of Technology (LAToT) to the respective companies.
BHEL, Jagdishpur, received technology for manufacturing high-strength radomes to support missile systems; JSPL, Angul, was transferred the know-how for producing DMR-1700 steel sheets and plates with ultrahigh strength and toughness for defence use; and BSP, Bhilai, SAIL,...
