India, Sept. 10 -- Crude oil prices gained Rs 49 to RS 5,593 per barrel on Wednesday amid concerns that tensions in the Middle East could escalate following an Israeli strike in Qatar targeting Hamas leaders.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), September delivery crude futures rose 0.88%, with 10,812 lots traded. Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude climbed 1.18% to USD 63.37 per barrel, while Brent crude increased 1.17% to USD 67.17 per barrel.
