India, April 23 -- Crude oil prices advanced on Thursday, with futures climbing by Rs 182 to Rs 8,905 per barrel as traders built fresh positions amid firm demand in the physical market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange of India, crude oil contracts for May delivery gained 2.09% in a turnover of 5,877 lots.
Analysts attributed the upward move to increased participation and fresh buying interest, which supported prices in futures trading.
