India, Oct. 16 -- Crude oil prices climbed Rs 26 to Rs 5,159 per barrel in Thursday's futures trade as traders increased their positions amid firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for November delivery was up Rs 26, or 0.51 per cent, at Rs 5,159 per barrel in 15,417 lots.
Analysts attributed the uptick to renewed buying interest and stronger spot market cues.
